Cllr Elaine Appleyard
I went to school in Colchester, attended St Marys and Colchester County High School for Girls back in the 1980's. I have lived in Colchester since 1997 and moved to Myland in 2003. I have noticed since moving to Myland how things have changed, e.g. Asda and the retail park, more houses popping up every where soon there will be no green land any where. I miss the cows that used to live where the Big Yellow building is now and the old Turner Road, things are changing so fast I fear I soon won't recognise the old Colchester any more. That is a scary thought as I do not want to live in a concrete town like many of the new towns that have been recreated. |

Cllr Scott Greenhill I am Colchester born, and have lived in and around the Mile End area over 30
years. I attended North County Primary, Saint Helena and Colchester
Institute achieving various qualifications: GCSE, City & Guilds, BTEC & RSA.
I have taken part in various Myland Parish Council (MPC) meetings and
Working Groups (WG) over the last 12 months. To assist the MPC, I built
www.bepartofit.org.uk to promote various projects i.e. Bergholt Road
Playarea, Fords Lane Ball Wall & Parish Fete. Furthermore, I have worked
with Councillors Liz Kelly and Martin Goss on the Fords Lane project to get
a ball wall installed for the youths at the recreation ground and I am also
working with Councillors Stephen Pitt and Elaine Appleyard on a similar
project to replace the Playarea in Bergholt Road. I try to be as active in
the local community as possible, most recently in the stocks at the village
fete to raise money for local causes and going forward I hope to continue to
increase my involvement within both MPC and the local community where I can. |
